Polyflow offers a range of seamless long radius drawn PE pipe bends made to the highest quality standards.

Bends are currently available in an outside diameter (ISO) size range from 90 mm to 355 mm hot forged from polyethylene pressure pipes made in accordance with AS/NZS 4130:1997. The materials used include MRS8.0 (PE80) and MRS10.0 (PE100).

The unique manufacturing methods result in single piece bends at any angle up to 90 degrees, with an angular tolerance of +/-2 degrees without any sub welding procedures. Bends are manufactured from pipe ranging from SDR21 to SDR9, and with linear tolerances of +/-10 mm.

The PolyflowTM bends centre line radii are generally 3 x pipe diameter, and the patented forming process provides spigot ends suitable for both butt welding and electrofusion jointing. Wall thinning is maintained at a minimum, and body ovality is minimal, allowing maximum hydraulic flow capacity. Spigot end dimensions meet the standard of the pipe from which each bend is manufactured. Bends can be operated at the full pressure rating of the pipe without the need for deration.

Independent laboratory reversion testing in Australian full sun conditions show these bends have virtually nil reversion. The high throughput manufacturing methods adopted allow for speedy delivery of orders, and flexible delivery of a wide range of size, pressure and bend angle combinations.
